TERRA 9th Nov -11th Dec 2011

A few streets back from the Tate modern, just a stones throw from from the river you will find the Jerwood Space.  A hub of activity this premises is a light and lively place. Once a school in the 1800s it now provides  space for exhibitions, as well as dance and theatre groups.

TERRA, meaning earth is an exhibition showing a wide range of contemporary sculpture. My favourite work was ‘Rotated Data Sculpture’ by Luke Jerram.  Based on the Tohoku Japanese Earthquake seismograph Jerram created the sculpture using CAD and a 3D printer. A beautifully tangible piece of scientific data.
